This Week's News in the Benefice

We were sad to learn of the recent passing of a Potton resident and a former Potton resident. Julia Bylett lived in Potton for many years and was an active member of St Mary's Singers Choral Society. In recent years, Julia and her husband Ray, helped with the early training of Assistance Dogs for disabled people and they were often to be seen around town with a dog in a special coat announcing the training project. Julia's funeral is on Thursday at 11.30am at St Mary's Church.

John Burnett used to live just opposite the Church, next to the Church Hall. He was a member of the Methodist Church but often attended St Mary's with his late wife Christine as she was a member of St Mary's. He moved to Biggleswade after the death of his wife. John, an Architect, was well known to us as he used to help with different church projects giving architectural advice over the years. John's funeral is on Friday 20th at 12.15pm at Trinity Methodist Chapel in Biggleswade.

Please hold Julia and John and their Families and Friends in your thoughts and prayers this week, as we say a fond Farewell to them.
