Potton Parish Lunch
On Friday June 28th at 12.45pm, in St Mary’s Hall, the St John’s Hospice Moggerhanger, Potton Support Group, sponsored by St Mary’s Church, are holding their monthly Parish Lunch. There should be places available so why not come along and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal from a menu which offers 5 choices and a dessert for only £7. This is a very friendly event held to raise much needed funds for our local Hospice.

This week at St Mary's Church, Potton
The Sunday service last weekend was the Patronal Festival for St John the Baptist at Cockayne Hatley Church. All other churches in the Benefice came to St John’s Church to help celebrate the day and the service was led by the Rev Gill Smith with the help of St Mary’s Church Choir. St Mary's Church, the Current week
Last Sunday, the service was the shorter Holy Communion, for Trinity Sunday, and was conducted by the Rector, the Rev Gill Smith. There were many children in the congregation, all exploring their treasure boxes used in this shorter service and learning all about Holy Communion by examining all the items in the box. First Steps Toddler and Baby Group - New Arrangements
St Mary’s Church First Steps toddler and baby group meet every Friday in the church hall at 9.30am till 11.30am. Following the success in continuing their meetings during half term breaks, it has now been decided to take the final step and meet throughout the year with no breaks, unless the church hall is needed for a church event. Coming soon to All Saints, Sutton
Coming soon to Sutton Church is their Flower Festival which is on June 29 and 30, 10.30am to 5.30pm. This is a flower festival not to be missed as the always have many intricate designs based on their theme. Also on Sunday the 30th, at 3pm, they will be holding their famous Duck Race, on the river of course. Buy a ticket at the flower festival, and win a good prize for the first duck over the finish line!

Services and events for the coming week.
Week commencing June 10th. On Friday, we welcome our church Organist, Nick Wilson to the airwaves as he is giving his “Thought for the Day” at 8.15am on BigglesFM, 104.8 on the dial Next Sunday, the service will be the shorter Holy Communion with the children’s Treasure Boxes and will be conducted by the Rev Gill.
