Some Sunday services will be allowed in church in August with suitable social spacing but singing will not be allowed just yet. Participants to any service, must wear suitable face covering. Initially, this probably will be a service on the first and third Sunday with Holy Communion at 10.30am, and Zoom services will continue in the interim weeks but now also at 10.30am. Church Opening Hours and Service Information
The Church opening arrangements are as follows: The Church is open every Monday, Thursday and Sunday, 9am until 4pm. Visitors need to use the hand sanitiser going in and leaving, books and other items should not be touched. Please wear a suitable face covering if possible. Church repairs after the lead theft, are finally finished!
The final restoration in St Mary’s Church, Potton, after four years In June 2016, most people in Potton will remember the major theft of lead from the roof of St Mary's Church. It has taken all this time to fully complete the repairs as this week, the damaged interior paintwork in the Chancel and Vicars Vestry was finally re-painted covering up the watermark damage caused by rain running down the walls for a very long period.
