We are now into the real Holiday Season so we all hope you enjoy it and you don't fry in the Sun!

Last Sunday saw our favourite children’s service return, “Friends and Family” an all age activity service, was back with quite a few of our children all ready for this month’s theme, a story based upon the “Parable of the Lost Sheep”. Our Rector, the Revd Alex Wheatley led us into the service with the famous story from the Bible, of the shepherd who had lost one of his sheep and how he searched and searched and would not give up, until he had found the missing sheep and carried it all the way back to his home and reunited the animal with the rest of the herd! Quite by coincidence, the Revd Alex’s pet sheep, Baaaartholemew, had disappeared that very morning so with the help of the children, he searched the church until that naughty lamb was found, hiding in the Lady Chapel! The poor little lamb had gone astray but was found and hopefully will not do that again! The service then continued with the craft session where the children were able to make different things to do with the story and I must say, some of these were little works of art, we really have some clever children amongst us! Next month, Friends and Family will take a break so the next service will be on September 3rd when we hope that all the holidays will be over and the children who missed today’s service will return, just as Baaaartholemew did today! New children and their Mums and Dads, are always very welcome to join us.

Next Sunday, July 9th, we will have a Holy Communion service led by the Revd Alex.
