This could be the week when we appoint a new Rector!
Next Friday morning, September 11th at 8.15am, our church organist, Nick Wilson will give his “Thought for the Day” on BigglesFM 104.8 on the dial, with all the latest news from St Mary’s. Nick will next be on air with his Thoughts and other news on September 25th.
Last Sunday, we reverted to a Zoom on line service led by Rdr Simon at 10.30am. There ten connections and 16 people taking part, down on numbers this week because there was a service of Holy Communion and Holy Baptism at Sutton Church at the same time and there had already been a service of Holy Communion at Cockayne Hatley Church. Nevertheless, it was a good service and Rdr Simon incorporated into it, the sermon given earlier at Cockayne Hatley given by the Rev Ray Porter from Gamlingay and recorded for participants of the Potton service to see and hear. Next Sunday the Morning Service at 10.30am, will be Holy Communion led by retired priest the Rev Gillian Orpin.
We hope and pray that the interviews for the vacancy of Rector on September 8th, will bring a positive outcome this time. We hope to bring some good news very soon.
