Church re-opening coming soon

News of our Church re-opening arrangements; the Church will be open, from Monday 6th July, unsupervised on Monday, Thursday and Sunday, 9am 'til 4pm. People need to use the hand sanitiser going in and leaving, books and other items must not be touched. Please wear a suitable face covering if possible. A Sunday service may be allowed soon with suitable social spacing but singing will not be allowed just yet. Our Sunday Morning Services for Trinity, on Zoom, will continue until we are permitted to use the Church on a Sunday. Last Sunday, we had 30 connections, our highest number to date, and with 42 people taking part in the Service. This week the service was led by LLW Hazel, assisted with the technical stuff by Sutton Churchwarden Darren. The “Thought for the Day” was given by Reader Simon.

Next Sunday, unless we can meet in the church which is unlikely, the service will again be held via Zoom at 10am and it is hoped many will be able to join us. Any member of St Mary’s, or the Benefice overall, who is not on the Sunday Link mailing list and wishes to be able receive joining instructions to take part in these services, should contact the church office at benefice.com@gmail.com. Applications must be by email as there is no telephone link to the church office at this time.

We listened to our organist, Nick, giving his “Thought for the Day” on BigglesFM last Friday but if you missed that, he will be on again on Friday July 10 at the usual time of 8.15am. 104.8 on your dial. He would love to have your company!

Remember, we still need to observe social spacing until the all clear is eventually given. We continue to pray that this time will come very soon. Take care.
