This week at St Mary's Church

On Friday, it is our Parish Lunch in aid of St John’s Hospice at Moggerhangar, organised by the Potton Support Group, sponsored by St Mary’s Church. There should be places available so why not come along and enjoy a delicious home cooked meal from a menu which offers 6 choices and a dessert for only £7. Raffle. This is a very friendly event held to raise much needed funds for our local Hospice.

Last Sunday, the morning service was Holy Communion with one of our regular visiting Priests, the Rev Gillian Orpin. Meanwhile, the search for a new incumbent continues but it will be sometime before we get to the interviewing stage. However, it is good to know that we are getting plenty of support from retired Clergy who help us regularly with services. Next Sunday , the Morning Service of Holy Communion with Holy Baptism, we will welcome the Rev Canon Lyndsay Dew, former Vicar of Dunton who will conduct the service.

Morning Prayer services will be held next week, at Sutton Church on Thursday, and on Tuesday and Friday at St Mary’s, all services at 9am. These services maybe cancelled at short notice if no leader is available. Our First Steps toddler and baby group will be meeting on Friday in the church hall at the usual time of 9.30am.
