Last Sunday, and the Rest of the Week in our Church, and Benefice Services

The service last Sunday was something special for two members of the congregation. Roslyn and David Tall were celebrating their Golden Wedding over the weekend so our Associate Priest, the Rev Barbara Johnson who was conducting the service of Holy Communion, incorporated into the service, the Renewal of Vows for Roslyn and David. This part of the service was given by our former Rector, the Rev Gill Smith who was invited to carry out the renewal by the happy couple, and it was both a moving but happy time for Ros and David. Following the service, members of the congregation were invited to a celebration party in the church hall.

Next Sunday, the morning service is Holy Communion, with a visiting Priest and the following week, September 1st, after a short summer break, we once more have our popular Friends and Families intergenerational activity service. All are very welcome.

Morning Prayer services will be held next week, at Sutton Church on Thursday, and on Tuesday and Friday at St Mary’s, all services at 9am. These services maybe cancelled at short notice if no leader is available. Our First Steps toddler and baby group meet as usual in the church hall at 9.30am on Friday. Details from Sandy on 01767 260430. Please note: First Steps will not be meeting on September 6th, as the hall is not available on that day.
