Final Friends and Family Service for the Rev Gill

This morning, July 7th 2019, the Rev Gill Smith gave her final Friends and Family service before she leaves us on retirement. The theme today was "Go on your way", a theme chosen to help Gill and husband Bob, a safe and happy journey into their new life in Norfolk. Many people came this morning to help prepare them for that journey and all the activities were chosen to show that we will not forget them. The pictures that follow will illustrate this mornings activities but included are a few of Gill with our new door and window in our refurbished North Porch, a long needed improvement and one that Gill helped to implement. The work is not quite finished but it should be completed in the next few days. Gill will be missed at our Friends and Family activity services but she planted the seeds which led to this now popular monthly service and be assured, the service will carry on with our very able Ministry Team leading it.
