The coming week at St Mary's Church

Next Sunday the Morning Service will be the ever popular Friends and Family intergenerational activity service. This is usually a well attended service which has crafts and toys for the children, more crafts for the adults and Morning Prayer for those who are looking for something a little more formal. Refreshments are served throughout the service. The theme next Sunday is “Go on your way” which may be a reference to the fact that the Rev Gill will soon be leaving us as she retires. All are very welcome to come to our “serious but fun” type of service for all. At 7.30pm, our monthly NightLight service of prayer, music and quiet reflection, will be held.

Morning Prayer services will be held next week, at Sutton Church on Thursday, and on Tuesday and Friday at St Mary’s, all services at 9am. Our First Steps toddler and baby group meet on Friday as usual in the church hall at 9.30am. Further details about the Group can be obtained from Group Organiser, Sandy, on 01767 260430.

Gill’s final service will be on July14th when it is hoped the church will be filled by her many friends, and people Gill has helped over the years. The service will be attended by the Bishop of Bedford. There will be a buffet lunch afterwards but this must be booked in advance by calling the church office on 01767 261202.
