The Rev Gill Smith, her Final "Thought for the Day"

On Friday June 28th, we welcome the Rev Gill Smith, our Rector at St Mary’s Church to what will probably be her last “Thought for the Day” on Biggles FM. Rev Gill has been with us for over 10 years but will be retiring in July and will be leaving the Parish to live in Norfolk with her husband Bob. Many people in the Parish know Gill well, either as regular members of St Mary’s or through family occasions in the church, weddings, baptisms or funerals, or at one of the many social events we have held where Gill and Bob have always been deeply involved.

Gill’s last service will be on July 14th at 10.30am, and this will be followed by a special lunch in celebration of Gill’s time with us and for all she has achieved. The lunch must be pre-booked as places will be limited. Please call the church office on 01767 261202 to book but in the meantime:
