The week in St Mary's Church

The service last Sunday morning was Holy Communion by Extension. This is a strange title but what it means is that there is no ordained Priest available to conduct the service, but the wine and bread for the Act of Communion, had been blessed already by our ordained Rector. Last Sunday, one of our Readers, Simon Gutteridge, ably conducted the service on behalf of the Rev Gill Smith who was not available on this occasion. Next Sunday morning, it is our regular Family and Friends service with the Rev Gill and Wendy and her team, with a theme of “Gone Fishing”. Come along and find out what that is all about. Plenty of activities in the service, especially for children! On Sunday Evening, our monthly service of prayer, music and quiet reflection, NightLight, will be held at 7.30pm, this month as a Eucharist with the Rev Gill, Sarah and Heather. All are invited.
