"Murder Most Foul" in the Church Hall

Last Saturday evening, we were treated to a Murder Mystery in the recently renamed church hall, For the evening it was the Grande Grosse Hotel on the Costa Cheapo but before everyone arrived, a horrible murder had taken place, the murder of the hotel Proprietor. Fortunately, the famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot was staying there at the time and quickly engaged the rest of the evening’s guests in solving this horrendous crime. The play, a short mystery comedy, was written by Potton Playhouse secretary Marcia Jackson and was a joint production between Playhouse and St Mary’s Events Team. It was a hilarious evening for both actors and audience and even the actors did not know “whodunit” until right at the end when the maid was singled out by M. Poirot and accused of the foul murder of her boss, the man she had been having an affair with! Thanks go to Playhouse and the Events Team, who provided a 3 course meal, served between acts!
