at 12.45pm, it is the monthly Parish Lunch in aid of St John’s Hospice at Moggerhanger. Please note, there are now places available at the lunches so if you haven’t been before, why not try one of our delicious home made meals with a choice of 5 or 6 dishes plus a variety of desserts to follow. Two courses plus a hot drink, only £7.

Morning Prayer services will be held next week, at Cockayne Hatley Church on Monday, Sutton Church on Thursday, and on Tuesday and Friday at St Mary’s, all services at 9am. All are welcome. Our popular Craft and Chatter group will meet next Friday evening, as usual at 7.30pm, in the church hall. Details from 01767 260792. Any craft and as much chatter as you want for £2.50 which includes refreshments!

It’s not too long now until our annual Bonfire and Fireworks evening. This year it is on November 3 and full details will be in next week’s column but there will be posters around the town very soon.
