The Week Ahead

Last Sunday, we once again welcomed one of our Lay Team, Rdr David Kilpatrick to conduct our Service of the Word. Next Sunday will be a Lay led Zoom on line service at 10.30am, and NightLight at 7.30pm St Mary’s is open for private prayer on Monday, Thursday and Sunday of each week. Please follow the advice given in church for visitors regarding Covid-19 restrictions. Possible bookings for weddings, baptisms and funerals may be made by calling the church office on 01767 261202. This Week's News from St Mary's Church

Last Sunday morning, about 25 members of St Mary’s gathered in church for a “Service of the Word”. This is a shortened service which would normally incorporate Holy Communion but as the service was conducted by a Lay Preacher, Rdr David Kilpatrick, the communion element was not observed. St Mary’s will have such a service twice a month, for the next few weeks,. Other services will be Holy Communion, the next one on August 23rd. However, it is hoped that we may get a new incumbent appointed perhaps by the end of the year so a normal service pattern will resume maybe in the new year. Two candidates have been selected for interview in early September. Our church organist, Nick Wilson gave hi

The Banns of Marriage were read for two couples which of course means we will soon be seeing weddings back at St Mary’s. Afterwards, most people stayed to talk but this was outside in the churchyard, suitably socially spaced of course! Next Sunday at 10.30am, the service will be a L
