The Benefice of

Sue Ryder Care

St Mary’s Church, Potton, is proud to support the work of  St John’s Care Hospice at Moggerhanger by allowing a monthly Parish Lunch to be held in the Church Hall free of charge to the lunch organisers. This is usually at 12-45 on the last Friday of each month  and raises, on average, £4500 a year for the Hospice by providing a range of delicious Home Cooked Lunches to about 60 people, all for a very modest charge.

If you haven’t been to one of these lunches and want to know more about it or would like to help, please contact   Dave Thompson.

Next Parish Lunch: Friday August 31.

The Presentation to St John’s Hospice was at the 26 January 2018 lunch, with the proceeds from the 2017 lunches. A tidy sum of £4,400 was handed over this year!

Church Roof Repair - Just Giving

The roof security has now been up graded and paid for by donations from individuals and some grant money. However, we have now closed our Just Giving Appeal but with a big THANK YOU to all those who gave in our times of need. Many Potton Townsfolk and others with a link to Potton from further afield, came to our aid very quickly and for this we shall always be grateful. Thank you again.

The roof repairs are now complete but the repairs to the damaged masonry commenced on July 9th 2018. During this work, please keep away from the work area for Health and Safety reasons.

Potton Storebox

St Mary’s are supporting the Potton Storebox project to supply food parcels to local needy families and individuals. Please leave items of non-perishables, toiletries or shop vouchers in the white bin near the church door or in the church hall.
