Church Roof Repair - Just Giving
The roof security has now been up graded and paid for by donations from individuals and some grant money. However, we have decided to close our Just Giving Appeal but with a big THANK YOU to all those who gave in our times of need. Many Potton Townsfolk and others with a link to Potton from further afield, came to our aid very quickly and for this we shall always be grateful. Thank you again.
The roof has still not been repaired but we now have the “Go-Ahead” and the start date is for 2nd May. It is expected the work will take up to two months.

We have heard that Val who moved away from Potton last November to live near her daughter in Kent, died on December 18, only 6 weeks after her move. Val was the widow of one of Potton’s Doctors of several years ago and was the daughter of an even earlier Potton Doctor. She was a regular member of St Mary’s always attending the early Sunday Service. Her funeral was held in Kent on January 11 and her Ashes were interred in Potton on Tuesday Aprill 11 in Potton Cemetery.
Ruth Burmo, A Memorial Service
At the service held for Ruth on January 21, a collection was taken for Macmillan Cancer Support and for St Leonard’s Hospice, York. This raised the sum of £543 and will be split between the two charities
